FG NUNU is a new artist from Africa originally but now located in Massachusetts. Get to know more about him below

Explain who you are for those who may not know
I’m originally from the Ivory Coast located in Africa. Traveled to the United States in 2003 and started life in Worcester, Massachusetts.

How did you get your start in music?
My mother always played reggae when I was young. She was always in high spirits when jamming out to Bob Marley. I liked hearing her sing and watching her dance. It made her happy, and as a kid all i really wanted was my mothers happiness so i jumped into the music world in hopes to make songs she likes and could be proud of me. I started rapping when i was 13 years old. At that time i was just free-styling and getting the flow of songwriting. I didn’t start producing music until age 15, which was my first time in an actual recording studio. I’m 18 now so I’ve really been in the game for 5 years and have so much to learn.

Who are your influences?
My influences are NBA YoungBoy, Ralo, Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Lil wayne, Meek Mill, and Drake

What is your motivation?
My motivation is my Father and my Mother & wanting nothing more than to make them proud, show them that i’m a blessing.

What are you currently working on?
Right now my Team (FlexGang) and I are working on visuals for our upcoming songs, we’re also in the making of an EP, we’re also trying to gain Funding for a documentary road trip we’re planning to take in the summer selling our merchandise and promoting our songs from state to state boosting our fan base, gaining more exposure, and hopefully strike a record deal. We have a website coming soon that will give you full detail and description of who we are and what we do.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see myself on tour spreading nothing but positive energy and bringing joy around all those that support me, that support my team, and support my family.. In 5 years I hope to have made it out of poverty.

What is your opinion on the current hiphop scene?
My opinion on hiphop now is that it can only get better from here. I believe many musicians have now adapted to the culture and are working hard as they can to provide quality music and quality entertainment to the hiphop world.
