Young Dolph & Key Glock Announce Dum and Dummer 2

Tag-teaming trap tracks with outlandish flexes, Young Dolph & Key Glock are rap’s most in-demand twosome. Today, the Paper Route EMPIRE rappers officially announce Dum and Dummer 2, their second full-length collaborative album. The follow-up to 2019’s Dum and Dummerwhich peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200, Dum and Dummer 2 finds Dolph & Glock operating at an even higher level of craftsmanship, charisma, and luxury. The two rappers–and blood cousins–often seem like two halves of the same brain, each seamlessly picking up threads and finishing lines that the other leaves off.

Currently available for pre-order, album is home to Case Closed, last month’s hauntingly flex-heavy single, and Key Glock’s bombastic solo cut “I’m The Type,” as well as plenty of new highlights. Boasting artwork that slyly references MTV’s most famous duo Beavis & Butthead, Dum and Dummer 2 features several solo tracks from both Young Dolph and Key Glock interspersed with the heavy-hitting collab songs. Featuring production from PRE’s own Bandplay, who shows off his tremendous musicality and versatility, along with beats from Memphis natives like DJ Squeaky and Sosa808Dum and Dummer 2 hits the internet on March 26th via Paper Route EMPIRE.

Dumb & Dumber is one of my and Glock’s favorite movies,” says Young Dolph. “We do stuff in real life that’s just like they do in that movie. We just like having fun with everything we do.”

To accompany the announcement of the album, the duo “Aspen,” a new music video and single that is icy in all senses of the word. Blessed with a deeply soulful beat from Bandplay (“that’s who I’m runnin’ up the bands with,” rhymes Dolph), complete with textured blasts of organ and twinkling keys, “Aspen” is a master class in flexing, as Dolph & Glock brag about ballin’ out in Colorado’s ritziest mountain town. Each rapper has a blast slaloming around Bandplay’s 808s to craft their assonant boasts: “Get out my way, I’ll pop you like an Aspirin/Trap n**** on my way to Aspen/Smoke the best weed and spend millions on fashion,” spits Dolph on the hook.

Home to fan-favorite hits like Water On Water On Water” and 1 Hell Of A Life,” Dum & Dummer was a deluxe-sized showcase for the duo’s inimitable chemistry and unparalleled flexes. Dum and Dummer inspired a successful joint tour, during which Dolph & Glock sold over 43,000 tickets and sold out shows in multiple markets. Dolph & Glock connected earlier this year for Green Light,” a highlight single from the deluxe version of Dolph’s Rich Slave album, which peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 upon its release in August. Look for the Memphis natives to make just as big a splash with Dum and Dummer 2.

Jam Master Jay’s Alleged Killer Hit with New Federal Drug Trafficking Charges

According to reports, one of the men accused of killing Run DMC’s Jam Master Jay has been charged with federal drug trafficking charges in an unrelated case.

Karl Jordan, Jr., is the alleged gunman behind the fatal shooting in 2002 when he and co-defendant Ronald Washington, 56, broke into Jay’s studio. Jordan shot Jay at point-blank range as Washington pointed his weapon at the others in the studio.

Now, Jordan is facing new charges for allegedly distributing 280 grams of cocaine in Brooklyn between March 2016 and August 2020. Jordan was charged with conspiracy to distribute and sell a controlled substance in addition to firearm charges.

Jordan is currently being held without bond.  – VLAD TV

SPANISH RAPPER REPORTEDLY CHOPS OFF ROOMMATE’S PENIS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA CLOUT

ZARAGOZA, SPAIN – A Spanish rapper by the name of Aaron Beltran is reportedly on trial for chopping his roommate’s penis off on video. According to The Scottish Sun, the roommate — a 35-year-old teacher identified only as Andrew B — offered Beltron money to execute the gruesome act with payment depending on the number of times the video was viewed on social media.

Beltran carried out the amputation in March 2019 using a 12-inch knife but needed to ingest valium and four bottles of white wine to muster up the courage. Police discovered the British man’s severed organ in a plastic bag inside their apartment before it was re-attached in an emergency operation at Zaragoza’s Miguel Servet Hospital the same day.

The indictment reads, “On the afternoon of March 8, just before 7.15pm when both men were in the victim’s bedroom, Andrew tied his pyjama cord round the bottom of his penis to avoid haemorrhaging. The accused, who was sat on a chair in front of him, cut his penis with a 12-inch kitchen knife which was never found because the accused got rid of it.”

The re-attached organ is reportedly fully functional, but prosecutors want Beltran to serve roughly years and six months if he’s found guilty.

Andrew B, on the other hand, hasn’t pressed charges and has waived his right to compensation. He spent three weeks in the hospital before he went back to the United Kingdom. Prosecutors understand he suffers from gender dysphoria, while Beltran’s lawyer is expected to argue in court his client was not responsible for the amputation and seek his acquittal.

Beltran raps under the moniker Sanatorio del Atico or Attic Sanatorium in English and some of his videos can be found on YouTube — just not the video. – HIPHOPDX

Ice Cube Says Warner Bros. Refuses to Make “Friday” Sequel

While many people are questioning whether there will ever be another sequel in the Friday franchise, Ice Cube took to Instagram to reveal that it doesn’t seem likely.

Cube posted a cartoon drawing of the original Friday characters along with the caption, “#freefriday from the jaws of Warner Bros. who refuses to make more sequels. They have hi-jacked the happiness of the culture.”

This comes after Ice Cube told late-night host Seth Meyers last year that plans for a fourth Friday were stalled after the death of John Witherspoon, who played “Pops” in all three of the movies. At the time of the interview, Ice Cube stated that plans for the movie were on the back-burner, and recent news about Warner Bros. makes it seem even more unlikely for the near future. – VLADTV

Travis Scott Under Investigation for Surprise Public Event Due to Potential COVID-19 Violations Read More: Travis Scott Under Investigation, Event Violates COVID-19 Rules

Travis Scott held a surprise event in Los Angeles this week, but he may have to answer to city officials after being accused of possibly violating COVID-19 regulations.

According to a report from TMZ on Thursday (Feb. 25), La Flame held a flash mob-esque pop-up event in the West Hollywood section of L.A. on Tuesday (Feb. 23). However, he didn’t receive a permit from the city’s Department of Public Works because the DPW is reportedly leery of giving the OK on these sorts of non-essential events due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

City officials are reportedly taking a close look at Travis and his event to see if he infringed on coronavirus restrictions.

Los Angeles’ Department of Public Works also reportedly plans to confer with the City Attorney’s office on the actions they’ll take against the Houston rapper, which includes potential fines. It’s worth noting that although Public Works does issue citations for permit violations, it isn’t certain whether or not Travis will receive one.

As for the event, hundreds of people gathered at a newsstand featuring Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack logo to announce his first “Utopia” issue of i-D magazine, where he can be seen gracing the cover. He discusses his upcoming Utopia album in the interview.

The former 2013 XXL Freshman clearly loves his fans because he did something similar last September at a McDonald’s location shortly after launching his partnership with the fast-food franchise.

Travis Scott made an appearance at a Mickey D’s in Downey, Calif. and was surrounded by a mob of supporters. In the video footage that surfaced online, there were few mask sightings and very little social distancing was being practiced at the time.
