Ric Flair- JAG ft Riff Raff

Last week JAG announced the official release date of his highly anticipated debut album Dalton Ave which will be everywhere on November 29th. Over the last month the South Central native has been releasing new music every Friday and today he is back it with none other than the Peach Panther himself, Riff Raff, for Ric Flair.

With some up-tempo catchy production from fellow LA native Mic West Ric Flair is a must add to your Friday night playlist. Be sure to keep up with JAG over the next two months as Dalton Ave will certainly be one of the best hip hop albums out this year.

Where are you from?
Born in Los Angeles, CA but currently live in Lynnwood WA

What was it like growing up in your area?
Growing up in Lynnwood was just super chill. Nothing that interesting really happens. Police sirens are going off more often recently. Starting to sound like LA. Only thing missing is the helicopters flying over your house at night.

How did you get into music?
I think it was when my older brother gave me his old iPod 3G (which i still use) back in high school. I would write all my songs in the notes app. I think just having a place to store my thoughts in a creative way really pushed me into music.

What is it that you do?
Currently looking for a job. Quit my last job at a car dealership to focus on my music.

What are your goals?
My goals are to always get better as an artist/person, gain a following, become a great performer, and to pay back everyone who supported me from the start.

What are you currently working on?
Currently working on booking shows, future mixtapes/albums, and finding my sound as a rapper.

How do you feel about the current state of Hip Hop?
I used to think it was completely destroyed but over time I realized that the worst things about today’s hip hop has brought out the best in hip hop. There’s so many different sounds now; that freedom and growth is just awesome to see.

Anything you would like to say?
If you haven’t heard my music go listen and if you don’t mess with it just wait a year.

Share your talent with the new Echo App

Take the opportunity to succeed. Discover Echo, an app where musicians, singers and producers meet. Thanks to this virtual stage your talent will be noticed. Get to more more about how the app got started below. We chopped it up with the creators and got all the details.

screen-shot-2017-09-19-at-10-06-20-am

Explain who you are for those who don’t know:
Hi, I’m Enrico Fracchioni, a twenty-one years old boy and I live in a small town in northern Italy, only an hour’s drive from the city of Milan; also my childhood friend and business partner Tommaso Parmigiani lives here. I’m interested in public relations, and I have experience in performing and organizing social events, although since nearly one year and a half I’m totally committed to this project.

How did you come up with your app?
The idea behind the ECHO project dates back to several years ago, when Tommaso and I launched a Facebook page on which we shared videos or unpublished covers played by young artists looking for visibility.

Whats it like growing up where your from?
Growing up and living in a small town makes you able to enjoy an easier way of life compared to that you should have in a metropolis like Milan; I mean, you know nearly everyone and everyone knows you, you have a lot of friends and people you can trust and rely on. Moreover, you are close enough to that big city so that you can easily join parties, meetings, go shopping and have the benefits of that dynamic environment.

How did you get into app development?
Actually, I am not directly involved in app development; we, I mean, me and Tommaso, chose a very competent company in Milan, experienced in the development of mobile apps; we discussed our project with the company team, agreed about the main features our app should have, and then we appointed that company for Echo development. I also raised the funds needed to set the start-up.

What makes you different than other apps?
ECHO has the opportunity to be the first social network to move into the music market with innovative features such as donations, competitions, unpublished content and videoclips. This amount of different elements aims to fill the gap left in other apps that could be our competitors, that is the effort of bringing out new talented musicians

What are your goals?
We want to become the largest music-related community, a place where you can express yourself freely and unleash creativity. The goal is to facilitate the journey that brings artists and musicians to live their passion, trying to reveal unexpressed talents and help them by developing connections with fans and enthusiasts.

Anything you would like to say?
For the time being, we met the target of 25,000 downloads, with more than 2000 uploaded videos. To offer a wide range of music genres and settings among which everyone can move, was intended to be one of our prerogatives: on ECHO there are rappers, classical musicians, producers, simple enthusiasts and cover bands, all of them coming from different approaches but tied together by the passion for music.

Explain who you are for those who don’t know

I’m Cliff aka Summit a Rap/Hiphop artist from Washington WV. I also enjoy playing Guitar, and piano. Music is my life.

Where are you from?

I was born in Fort Stewart GA, but was raised in Washington WV. Its not my favorite place, but im currently working towards moving to SC.

Whats it like growing up where your from?

Life in the beginning wasn’t easy for me. I got mixed up in the wrong crowd at a young age, and started doing at lot of drugs which put me down a path I hope I never see again. I knew I needed to clean myself up and enrolled in a military school back in 2011 which probably saved my life.

How did you get into music?

There wasn’t much to do around here when I was younger, and after listening to my favorite artist Eminem I knew right then I had the music bug. So I downloaded Fruity Loops on my mothers computer at age 12 and when my parents would go to bed i’d get on my mothers laptop so i could figure out how to use the software. After I became in-tune with Fruity Loops I started making beats then id go to my room and write lyrics to them. Shorty after my buddy Ryan and I would sit in my car and record songs together on our phones, and every night we also free styled over multiple tracks to get better at our craft. Now I have a studio set up in my walk-in closet and spend most my time recording my music using Ableton Live 9 Standard. Funny how one artist can influence your life.

What is it that you do?

Honestly i spend most my time playing different instruments, and writing/recording music.

What are your goals?

My goals are to create music people of all backgrounds can vibe to. Some of my music can be pretty vulgar, and others tell stories about my life growing up. Ultimately I wanna break into the industry and do what I love to do. Make Music

What are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on my mix-tape, “From nothing to something”

How do you feel about the current state of HipHop?

I feel people these days care more about a catchy hook than the stories they tell, and alot of what I hear today is very repetitive. Some of the music I hear i’m like how the h*** did this make it on the radio.
