Kel Smooth is a Queens, NY native with a sound similar to a pretty famous artist from Pittsburgh named….Wiz Khalifa.

Stream his latest song “All Night” below and you can decide for yourself. It’s pretty interesting how much Kel sounds like Wiz. It could be intentional but then again, Kel may just naturally sound this way.

Where are you from?
Im from Odessa,Texas born and raised i lived a couple years outside the city in san antonio,Tx before my mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 which led to me moving back home
Whats it like growing up where your from?
its a small town a lot of petty drama and gossip from time to time and its very easy to lose yourself in the he say she say also very easy to get distracted and led down the wrong path I’ve seen it happen to a couple of my peers and im not to happy about it but its so accessible in my city

How did you get into music?
I’ve always garnered a passion for music whether it be lip-syncing an entire song wilding in my house standing on top of things as if i was perfuming live or whatever the case and i just felt like taking my passion to another level i never was interested in jobs things like that never kept my full attention even though i was very capable of keeping a job the only thing consistent i could rely on was music so i just say taking something that makes me happy and turning it into a passion with my own craft
What makes you different than other artists?
to me in a game of comparisons i feel like i everything i do is different because i don’t try to constantly rely on imma do it like so and so did it i always want to have my own spin on things the way i talk the way i live the way i dress everything i now my style is not considered to be a regular texas rap style but i never let things like that take me away from what i love to do or how i do it
What are you currently working on?
i am currently working on building my buzz to get ready to release the second installment to my tape never stopped part one and i really liked the feedback i received from the project so the pressure is there but to be honest i like this kind of pressure vice versa having to watch my back things like that etc. cause the pressure is thru the music and i know i can deliver i really want to keep expanding my brand and really pave the way for a great release its time consuming and a process but i feel like it will all be worth it by the time i reach all the goals i have set for myself?

and TSA is a real moment (Talk Shit Accordingly) hopefully one day i can see people across the world in my merch you never know but every time you see that hashtag or anything the hats on twitter thats what they mean.
