The easiest way to sum up Xseven, and the music he makes would be; odd. Xseven (Born Bailey James Dixon) is a self taught recording artist, and audio engineer. Growing up in poverty, there wasn’t much opportunity for the young artist. His mother once told him “he would never make a living off music and to get a real job.” He wishes to defy the odd’s and plans on building his empire and getting into a position to help out artist’s. His rare flow and twisted lyrics bring a unique sound that we’re not sure we’ve ever heard before. I can honestly say he is different than a lot of other artists in the game. Xseven has the mind set to do more than what is expected from him. Why get a job? When you could start your own business? This is the type of question’s he thinks to himself. Music is his way out.
He is a very versatile artist with style and ton’s of originality. In September of 2016 Bailey founded Zany Records; and since has recorded a mixtape, his debut album and is currently working on a second album – along with numerous features and singles. His mission with Zany Records, is to not just be another record label that makes music – normal is never noteworthy. Instead, B. James intends to build a company that will strive to assist the artists that are in the position he was through the record label’s contests, promotional mixtapes and other services.
Zany Records will be hosting it’s 2nd annual Collaborative Contest which is specifically designed for aspiring recording artists. The Contest acts as a networking platform that gives every contestant a chance to meet new artists to work with, receive genuine feedback from other artists and listeners, as well, this year we’ll be giving away $200 to the first place contestant. If interested, artists should check out www.zanyrecords.net/contests for more details on this opportunity.
We expect to hear a lot more music and see a lot more moves from Xseven in the future of 2017.
