Redd is a new artist coming from right outside of Detroit. After making music for 14 years, it’s became a natural every day thing. His music is very different from what’s hot right now. We think he has a lot of potential and we expect to see big things for him in the future. Get to know more about him below and be sure to check his music and follow him on social media.

Where you from?
Just outside of Detroit!

How did you get your start in music?
Had a passion for music at a young age, and overtime the pieces sorta fell into place naturally.

How long have you been making it?
14 years

Who are your influences?
Musically, to many to count. Anything I listen to, I try to absorb what makes that record good, regardless of genre.

What motivates you?
Everything. Music is love, music is life.

What are you currently working on?
My EP (future release) just got done being mixed. Just got done shooting 2 high quality vids that will be released alongside that project as well.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Owning my own label and being a titan of the music industry. 4th album on the way.

What is your opinion on the current hiphop scene?
Hard to identify. The community is split because of the new wave of artists. Hip-Hop isn’t what it used to be, and is evolving and branching into something new.I think it’s up too the consumer where the scene goes, I just pray real authentic hip-hop stays relevant.
I respect anything that’s good, so I won’t knock new wave rappers if the song is dope and it sounds like real work was put in to create a body of art.

Lil’Acee AKA Lil’Riki is a new artist born and raised in Houston, TX. He’s always wanted to do music, since a young age. Finally he decided to make it happen. Get to know more about him below

I am Lil’Acee AKA Lil’Riki. Raised and born in Houston Texas around the southwest area, but my family is salvadorian so I’m Latin-American . Born in the 98 currently 19 years old going to 20 on September 23.

How did you get your start in music?
I had a dream of being a rapper with my older brother since we were kids but I never really knew how to record till I got older and saw some of the homies in the hood do it and that’s when I started doing my own thing.

How long have you been making it?
I have been making music for a couple of months around August 2017 I dropped my first track and just been trying to get better after every track I drop.

Who are your influences?
I feel like I have a lot of influences but I’ll just say a handful of them which are Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, Lil Uzi, A$AP Rocky, Tyler The Creator, Mac Miller,Travis Scott, Pro Era, TDE,And 6lack.

What motivates you?
What motivates me is myself, my brothers, my parents of course and my nephews. I wanna better myself as an artist and a person day after day. What also motivates me is showing others that they do what they love and don’t do what others tell you to do because at the end of the day is your life and you weren’t asked to be brought to this world. You might as well live your life doing what you love and make a living out of it with no regrets.

What are you currently working on?
I’m currently just working on dropping singles right now showing my city(Houston) what kind of music they can expect from me and also getting local so I can drop a mixtape sometime soon.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself making beautiful music , producing , being in all kind of different industries like clothing , shoes, also tryna help out the upcoming underground artists , and maybe being in a reality tv show etc.

What is your opinion on the current hiphop scene?
I think the hip hop scene is in one of the best times right now because you have so many different categories of rap you can choose from , from mumble rap to lyricists to party music to story telling. Music is a form of art, some people may think some songs are whack but others might think is the most beautiful thing they’ve ever heard.

Anything else you would like to say?
Check out my SoundCloud, I promise you that won’t regret it because you will witness greatness from a Houston Artist. And a big shout out to hip hop revival for being the first blog to interview me and for showing luv!..

Bax talks being from Dallas, influences, what he’s working on, & more

Bax is a new artist coming out of the Dallas area with a lot of motivation and promise. Motivated by haters, nothing will stop him from reaching his goals. He has a positive message coming for the youth. DONT DO DRUGS. In the last 5 months he was arrested twice. Now he’s on to a better message and standing up against rappers who promote drug usage. He doesn’t want the youth to grow up and make bad decisions. Get to know more about him below:

Explain who you are for those who may not know
my name’s bax, im an 18 year old dude from dallas.

How did you get your start in music?
I got my start in music by people telling me I should consider recording. once I was about 15-16 I got a MacBook and all the equipment and just started messing around. I had always had a voice for singing my whole life. once I started smoking back in my freshman year me and my homies would always mess around and freestyle and I was always pretty good at that. so I started incorporating rap with my vocals and it’s led me here!

How long have you been making it?
been making music for about 3 years now

Who are your influences?
my influences in the music industry are The Weeknd, Micheal Jackson, Future, Weezy, and also a little bit of Roy Woods.

What motivates you?
the thing that motivates me the most are the people that hate on me. in dallas, it’s a fish eat fish world, most people making music are focused on just their selves. plus I have so many people that just diss on me for my music, but I never really let that get to me. I just use that as motivation to get out of here.

What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on an ep. going to be a variety of sounds and I think that’s what separates me from others, I don’t stick myself to just one genre.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
in 5 years, I see myself doing the same thing, making better music and successful doing it. if this music doesn’t work out I either want to pursue a career in audio engineering or business

What is your opinion on the current hiphop scene?
my opinions on the rap scene nowadays: its very different, very. the audience is much more excepting to different styles and flows. there’s a lot of artists I question on how they blew up cause some are just straight up shit to me, but hey it’s what the people like and that’s what’s going to make you money. so I got respect.

Anything else you would like to say?
& one last thing, I’m not on that drug shit like I used to be if anyone thinks that. I actually got arrested twice in the past 5 months and caught 3 charges so I’m having to lay low on all that. but yeah don’t do drugs kids or you’ll end up like me haha.
