KODAK BLACK – Before They Were Famous

Kodak Black was raised in the projects outside of Miami Florida by a single mother. He was rapping and running drugs with some of the older kids on the block, but when he was 15 caught a life sentence that almost put him away for good. Luckily a producer thought he was worth investing in, paid off his lawyers, and signed him to the label Atlantic Records. Originally he was rapping under the monkier Lil Black but when he signed up to instagram he swapped out the lil for Kodak.

Restaurant’s Employees Sue T.I.

“T.I. is being sued by employees of his restaurant SCALES 925 in Atlanta for unpaid wages.

Over 10 workers filed a lawsuit this week that alleges that the restaurant’s management did not keep proper records of their hours worked and did not pay them for every hour they worked. It specifically targets T.I.’s partner in the business Charles Hughes. “Hughes used Scales LLC to create bank accounts for payroll. However, Hughes would deposit money from SCALES 925 into his personal account causing payroll checks to bounce,” according to the suit. “Hughes has made fraudulent statements to restaurant employees concerning the hours the employees worked at SCALES 925.”

Hughes used a software to keep track of employee hours known as ALOHA. There were several issues with the system that Mr. Hughes did not address, according to the suit. It deleted hours worked by employees and also did not keep track of any hours exceeding a 40 hour per week limit. Employees voiced their concerns, but he claimed that there was “nothing he could do” at the time. The software also would state that employees claimed $35 in tips when they didn’t. They were often coerced to work off the clock for three hours before they were allowed to leave. They were not paid for the overtime. Employees also had money taken out of their checks to pay the busboys. However, the busboys claimed they never received any money. T.I. has yet to comment on the matter publicly.” –  VladTV

Ace Hood ft Rick Ross – Go Mode

Ace Hood is back in “Go Mode” and Rick Ross came along for the ride.

Being that Ross is featured on the track with Ace, his MMG ties seem to still be strong. Loyalty is a huge part of the Maybach Music Group camp. These two have been together since the beginning of MMG.

It’s good to hear both these artists on the same song together. Hopefully we will even get a visual later down the road. This song is off Hood’s project “Starvation 5”

ATL has been grinding heavy and you know when you grind, you spend money. This track describes how to make that money back. This guy is on his hustle and he dedicates this one for the hustler’s.

This is a dope track all around and I’ll for sure keep it in rotation. Looking forward to hearing more from him.

Dave East – Stove Top

New Music From Dave East Titled “Stove Top”

Dave East has now become one of New York’s biggest upcoming artists. His secret? Consistency. He has been putting out quality music consistently at least for the past year or so. Each track dropped, impresses us more and more.

With over 18k listens in just a few hours, you can’t tell us that the Harlem native isn’t branding himself properly. He is impressive with his hard hitting lyrics and the ability to paint pictures with his music.

“I was in the trap all day, all night”

It’s really great how describable he is in his lyrics. It shows that he’s writing about what he’s really seen in his environment.

Today we bring you a new track from East titled “Stove Top.”

“If he don’t end up in the dirt, he with the fishes”

He was  XXL Freshman 2016 alongside Desiigner, G Herbo, & More.

This guy is popping. He’s shown that he has the ability to grow as an artist in a short period of time. He’s about to run the city but he started off on one block.

Joe Budden – Wake (Drake Diss)

Joe Budden is not going to let up on his beef with Drake anytime soon. This time he “wakes” us up with a good morning track aimed at Drizzy Drake himself.

wake

We are really interested to see how this goes. Hopefully we get to hear a Drake response here soon. This is an interesting battle because both artist’s are totally different when it comes to lyricism.

Joe really surprised us with the last two diss tracks aimed at Drake. We feel like there is more behind this situation than just rap beef. It’s very possible that this situation could have escalated over a woman connected to both of these artists.

It’s really entertaining watching Drake get involved in beef because he’s one of the few artists that I couldn’t imagine wanting beef. On the contrary, Budden is known to piss people off and have them in their feelings. Budden has sent shots in the past at The Game, G Unit, and the entire Wu Tang Clan.

I think it would be really crazy if Budden could get Drake into the battle world and give him a one on one match. I don’t think it would ever happen but it really would be crazy.

Comment your thoughts below and let us know what you think of Budden’s latest jab to Drake.
