Last week we did a post about a Chicago artist that goes by Eastside Rich. A lot of you were asking for more info on Rich. We decided to chop it up in a Q&A and let the world get to know more about him.

How did you come up with your name?

My stage name Eastside Rich means “Hood Rich” basically because the Eastside of Chicago is my hood.

Where are you from?

Im from the Southeast side of Chicago s Southshore area (State st 2 Lake shore Dr)

Whats it like growing up where your from?

Growing up in Chicago its hella gangbanging drugdealing and killing you gotta be very street smart 2 survive where im from fr fr.

How did you get into music?

I always had a ear for music it started at age 12 one of the older guys from the area was playing instrumentals and I started rapping a song i wrote previously. The writing was a way i expressed my pain inside which i had a lot of energy and character behind it.

What makes you different than other artists?

I create my own lane point blank period and take pride in my art. I am a leader and trendsetter and at the end of the day turn none believers into believers.

What are you currently working on?

I am currently work on my E.P “Million $ Lingo” which is set to be released everywhere in April 2017

His style is very versatile and unlike any other on the mic or behind the music.
