Two words that go hand-in-hand are “hip-hop” and “competition,” and the brand new “LIB Cypher 2017” shows viewers just that. Rappers Gab, Erik P., Nyae Slanger, and LIB Foreign step up to the plate, plopping off some rap ruthlessness. G Herbo Receives Honorary Principal For A Day at Chicago’s South Shore High

G Herbo is now one of Chicago’s own new breed of Hip Hop MCs that young fans around the nation are listening to these days. On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, G Herbo will be awarded the Honorary Principal For A Day Award from South Shore International College Preparatory High School, 1955 East 75th Street, Chicago, ILL 60649 at 1:30 PM. The High School will present G Herbo with the award and student tribute to him, G Herbo will Address the students, followed by Q&A Music and Music Business related questions from the students.

Later that evening G Herbo and Lil Bibby are the headliners at Red Bull Sound Select Concert series, held at the Metro, 3730 N. Clark St, Chicago, ILL.

South Shore High School selected G Herbo for this honor, as he is considered a Hero in the community from the South Side of Chicago.

Stanley Coleman, Jr., Program Manager, South Shore High School said, “G Herbo embodies class, heart, grit, hope, brilliance, grace, leadership, integrity, elegance, intelligence, kindness, compassion, spirit, courage, strength, determination, dedication, resiliency & fight that has successfully mobilized our youth from the South Side of Chicago to know that their voice can make the difference in the World of Empowerment/Artistic Integrity/Music & Education.”

This is off the heels of Revolt TV Network’s “Black Excellence: Back to School with G Herbo”, aired on February 17, 2017. This Black History Special, features G Herbo as he gives back by speaking with students at a Los Angeles, California continuation high school.

Young Thug Accused of Slapping A Woman at Atlanta Club

TMZ is reporting that Young Thug reportedly slapped a woman outside a Atlanta nightclub after she was arguing with his fiancé. 

“Police were called to Palace nightclub in Atlanta early Sunday morning to respond to a verbal dispute, which allegedly resulted in the rapper hitting a woman he used to work with — 27-year-old Valerie Raven, aka Akbar V … according to the report. Akbar V claims she was arguing with Thug’s fiancee, Jerrika Karlae, in front of the club when YT stepped in … and slapped her on the left side of her face. Akbar said there were several witnesses, but Thug and Karlae had already left when cops arrived.” – TMZ
