SO {Standing Ovation} the anything goes bicoastal duo consisting of Producer Bronze Baby Shoes from Virginia and vocalist/lyricist The Character residing in Los Angeles are set to release “COLISEUM”, on January 17th, 2017. Taking a hyper­modernistic pastiche of music birthed of the digital age. Styled as “Andre 3000 flying on a killer ecstasy peyote cocktail cooked up by the Dow Chemical Company”. This four track EP was recorded over a five day visit to Echo Park Los Angeles. The anticipation and excitement of travel, desperation and exploration of sound rotate peacefully on this perfectly centered piece of work. “COLISEUM” is the sum of Freedom.

SO recently has been dropping a lot of new music.

For those who may not know me I go by the name “Jayo Gunz” Ima indie artist from the midwest Zion IL to be exact but I run with “Money Gang Mafia” a music group out of the 6! I have music on spinrilla, soundcloud, and datpiff tune in .

I started doing music around 10 years old my older cousin got me started I kind of just played with it for years but people started to tell me to take it more serious as of then I would say I been going strong at it for about a good 3 to 4 years.

I would have to say that Jadakiss, Ace Hood, & Meek Mill are my influences I’ve always liked how jada flowed ace hood always been like a underdog to me people should really give him more credit and watching meek mill really come from the bottom to the hills is like motivation he went from battling to MMG and he hot people can relate to what he been threw you feel me so I would say those are my influences.

What motivates me to grind is knowing that tomorrow isn’t promised I lost a close friend to me by the name “Ashley Patton” may her soul rest in peace but after her passing I just learned that life is really to short and that I gotta make the best out of every situation that comes my way. My family is also my motivation I grind for them seeing all the hard times and struggles we been through makes me grind harder so we all can eat.

Right now I’m working on a project called Jayo Jackin Beat 2 where I have fun and do my own thing on some of the top industry songs streaming today I also have some singles in the works that will dropping and from my most recent project dropped in September called “Patiently Waiting 2” I have a video on the way stay tuned for that.

What next for me is visuals, I want to shoot more videos so stay on the look out for some new work I also want to do a couple shows so I will be working to put some stuff in motion and im looking to hit up the 6 for a event with #MGM should be lit as well just tune into my music it all speaks for it self.

When did you get into music

I got into around like summer of 2011,but it wasnt nothing serious.We was just making shit rhyme and trying to record it on Audacity.we didnt even have a studio or nothing .It was me,Kweli,and Tray we was gone be like crime mob or some shit getting turnt,But then a couple months later Tray had passed from a gunshot wound in february of 2012,so ima say like December me and kweli got serious in which i dropped “Coastin” and “All This Money” in January of 2013 i was in 12th grade,SpaceGhostPurrp later reached out to me and started fucking with me heavy he basically put me on,he posted coastin on his youtube,he had people all around the world bumping “Coastin”Shit start taking flight after that..S/O to bra
