Russian scientists revealed a 20,000 to 50,000-year-old cave lion cub Thursday capable of being cloned and brought back from the depths of extinction. The cave cub was found on the bank of the Tirekhtykh River by a local resident, according to The Siberian Times. Researchers believe the cub died when it was around 2 months old.
One of the researchers told the Siberian paper its “perfect” condition makes it a potential candidate for cloning.
Video shows researchers taking the stiff furball out of a sinister-looking briefcase and presenting it to the press. There’s something both adorable and macabre when seeing the environmentally preserved cub in a state of eternal slumber. Russia should probably leave this little guy or girl alone and let its subspecies rest.

TAMPA, Fla. — Ja Du, born a white male named Adam, now considers himself a Filipino.
He even drives what he calls a Tuk Tuk, an Asian-derived vehicle used for public transit in the Philippines.
Ja Du is part of a small but growing number of people who call themselves transracial. The term once referred only to someone (or a couple) of a one race adopting a child of another, but now it’s becoming associated with someone born of one race who identifies with another.
Ja Du says he grew up enjoying Filipino food, events and the overall culture.
“Whenever I’m around the music, around the food, I feel like I’m in my own skin,” he said.
“I’d watch the History Channel, sometimes for hours … nothing else intrigued me more but things about Filipino culture.”
the term transracial started to become more widely known after the much-publicized story of Rachel Dolezal. Dolezal, born white, identified as black and portrayed herself as such. She was even the president of the Spokane, Wash., chapter of the NAACP.

A 26-year-old man was found dead at the home of a well-known Democratic party donor late last month of a drug overdose.
The incident occurred on July 27 around 7.22pm at the West Hollywood home of Ed Buck, a high-profile political activist and wealthy contributor to the California and Los Angeles County Democratic Party.
The Los Angeles County Coroner declared Gemmel Moore’s death an ‘accident,’ due to a ‘methamphetamine’ overdose, the WeHo Times publication reported.
But Moore’s family believes that foul play was involved in the hours between Gemmel’s arrival at Buck’s home and his fatal overdose.
During a phone interview with the WeHo Times last week, Gemmel Moore’s mother, LaTisha Nixon, said that her son had been involved with sex-work for the past few years.

Meek Mill might need to answer some questions over a wrongful death lawsuit against him under oath while he’s behind bars … but there seems to be an easy fix.
According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the family of a man who was shot and killed outside of Meek’s concert last year is asking a judge to give them the courtroom W if Meek doesn’t submit answers to their questions under oath in the next 30 days.
As we reported … the family, along with another man who was injured at the concert, are suing Meek for allegedly inciting the deadly violence with his murderous lyrics.
Meek’s denied the allegations in court docs, but the family wants him to do one simple thing if the case is to continue … sign his written answers to their questions — aka under oath.
The only potential problem for Meek … will he hear about this in time?

Two of Hip Hop’s most polarizing artists are teaming up for a project. On Sunday (November 12), Lil Yachty announced a collaboration with Lil Pump due out in 2018.
Lil Boat unveiled the news with a tweet of a text conversation between himself and the “Gucci Gucci” artist. The two are planning to tour together after releasing the collaborative project.
“First Of The Year, We Promise,” Yachty tweeted.
Both men are coming off the releases of their respective debut albums. Yachty dropped his first LP, Teenage Emotions, in May. The album did not receive a warm reception as Yachty grabbed more attention in subsequent months for feuding with Joe Budden. The release did crack the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 though.
Lil Pump released his self-titled debut in October, peaking at #3 on the Billboard 200 later that month. His single “Gucci Gucci” has also experienced its fair share of chart success, topping out at #7 on the Hot 100.

NY Giants linebacker Jonathan Casillas should’ve been a running back — because it took 5 SECURITY OFFICERS to bring him down during a violent casino clash back in 2012.
We’ve been making calls for days trying to gather all the info about this crazy video — and though the details are scarce, here’s what we know …
— It happened at 6 AM on May 12, 2012 at the Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City
— Before the video begins, Casillas was pissed … and walked outside to cool off. You see him throw a potted plant across the valet area.
— Casillas went back inside and was confronted by several security officers. Things get testy, Casillas tucks his chain, a security officer shoves Casillas and Casillas shoves back
— Things went nuclear from there. 5 guys tried to take Casillas down. They struggled, but eventually got him to the ground. He was handcuffed and detained.
— Two Atlantic City PD officers were involved.
We’ve reached out to the Atlantic City PD to find out if criminal charges were filed. One source connected to the incident says a civil suit was filed … but unclear who filed it or if it’s still active.
Multiple attempts to reach Casillas and his reps were unsuccessful.

Scientists have discovered a dinosaur-era shark with 300 teeth and a snake’s head off the Portuguese coast.
The frilled shark was caught by a trawler during a research project on how to minimise unwanted catches during commercial fishing, according to Sic Noticias TV.
The rare species dates back 80 million years.
While its peers, such as the Tyrannosaurus rex and triceratops, died out long ago, this shark, with its frilled teeth and long, slim body still swims at great depths of at least 700 metres (2,300 feet).
Professor Margarida Castro of the University of the Algarve told Sic Noticias that the shark has 300 teeth, “which allows it to trap squid, fish and other sharks in sudden lunges”.
According to the Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere, the captured shark measured 1.5 m in length and was swimming off the Algarve coast.
The shark usually lives in the Atlantic and in waters near Australia, New Zealand and Japan, as reported by the BBC. At such depths the shark is in constant darkness, crushing pressure and extremely cold temperatures.
It is not known why this species has survived when other prehistoric creatures have not. It has also been speculated that the frilled shark influenced 19th century sailors’ stories of sea serpents.
Scientists have made other unusual discoveries in recent years including a long, toothy eel – likely a member of the snake-eel Opichthidae family – that was found washed up and decomposing on a Texas beach.
A man in Perth also recently found a sea squirt, or compound ascidian, resembling an animal’s tongue, but which acts as a colony for small animals called zooids which feed and live together.
International researchers pulled up a range of deep-sea creatures earlier this year off the coast of Australia, including the toothy “faceless fish”, a thorny red crab and a blue-eyed coffinfish that lures prey by dangling fluffy bait on top of its head.
Experts say more than 90 per cent of the world’s deep waters remain unexplored
