HHR recently got the chance to conduct a Q&A w/ one of the hottest upcoming artists in the game, Zuse.
Check out the full Q&A below:
Explain who you are for those who may not know
My name is Zuse, I’m from Kingston Jamaica and I mix hip hop & reggae with trap music.
How did you get your start in music?
I got my start in music through FKi in 2014. I released my first mixtape Bullet and have never looked back ever since.
How did you come up with your stage name?
I gave my self the name Zuse off the great Zeus in Greek mythology because he is the God of all Gods and I want to be the rapper of all rappers.
What is something most may not know about you?
One thing most people don’t know about me is that I don’t write music. I freestyle everything.
Talk to us about your new project “Bullet 2: Banana Clip”
Bullet 2 was the sequel to Bullet which people consider a classic. I just wanted to get back to my roots where it all started from and give the people an immaculate project. Bullet 2: Banana Clip is for everybody, it ranges from the struggles that I face to having a good time with friends to the recent events of the unjust police killings that we face today in our communities as minorities. I think I hit the nail on the head without trying to do so. B2BC is natural.
What makes this project different than others?
What makes it different from my other projects is that it’s the original Zuse that people are use to and love. As I said I went back to my roots and gave the people an immaculate project.
Whats next for you?
What I have planned next is to go on tour in the fall and to release a new mixtape around the same time titled #TrenchZuse, executive produced by super producers Nard & B. The mixtape is already done.
Anything else?
To all my fans and supporters, I love you and appreciate your supporter. Without y’all I am nothing. I love you all once again. Bullet! POY!
