Meet Music Producer J Staffz

Jabari Bowry also known as J Staffz is a super music producer from Toronto, Canada. Working with big names like French Montana, Fat Joe, Sean Kingston, & Wiz Khalifa, J Staffz quickly became a studio workhorse. We recently caught up with J Staffz and asked him few questions:

When you started producing music, how has your life changed?

Most of the time I’m focused on outside businesses and trying to expand my brand. To be honest I’ve been producing full time since 2009. Most of the music that I’m known for is hip-hop but what keeps me the busiest is working on music for TV and movies. I definitely enjoy producing music in more of a freelance style than working for a label or within a production team or something.

How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry?

I think it’s made artists be a little bit more creative in regards to releasing projects. I know as far as making beats for people I’m usually at home in my studio and emailing records back and forth. I get more done that way. I definitely prefer to do it in person but COVID has definitely forced people out of the studio and back into their home setups.

What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?

Currently I’m working on music beds for a couple of Netflix exclusive films. I really enjoy working with television as it’s a lot more consistent and it forces me to be more versatile as opposed to doing hip-hop all the time. I’m also trying to start a label in the next year or so. Definitely keep an eye out for that.

What would you tell upcoming producers/artists trying to make it in the music industry?

As an artist I’d definitely try and create a inhouse team. I work with a group of people but we all do different things from writing to graphic design. That is going to help you get a lot further faster. As a producer I would say not to be afraid to take risks and to produce for whoever you can when you’re coming up. Anyone who you think is good you should try and work with. You never know who is going to blow up. If they can work out some sort of payment for you for beats then that’s good but if you really think they’re talented then definitely try and help where you can within our personal limits.

Cameron Dietz releases new single “Old Soul”

Cameron Dietz returns in a major way with the release of his new single, “Old Soul.” The song is Cameron Dietz’s first single after a two-year hiatus. The self-produced track blends elements of Gospel, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop, and R&B/Soul, giving fans the eargasm they’ve been patiently waiting for.

Review: BUDD & GB DALLAS “NO MORE EXCUSES”

BUDD$ and GB DALLAS link up to make “No More Excuses” music video! This one has totally different vibes from the last one we posted from BUDD.

First of all, huge shout out to the director for killing the edits on this visual. Everything from the scenery to the editing was on point. You can tell they took the time to perfect this one. I love the graffiti shots! This video is really representing the HipHop culture to the fullest!!

The beat is also fire! Had me nodding and vibing out. This is real hustlers music right here! If you’re waiting to go out and get it, this one will motivate you to get off the couch lol. These two make one hell of a duo. I’d like to see them do a whole project together. This one deserves way more views than it has! Check it out below

Review: BUDD$ – Too Easy

It’s not everyday that you find a new artist with substance. We get a lot of review requests and a lot of artists just lack originality to us these days. BUDD$ is a new artist on our radar but he is not an artist you should sleep on. Today we are reviewing his track “Too Easy”

After dropping his last project “INDICA” on all platforms, theres been a lot of anticipation on his next project “SATIVA”. This new single “TOO EASY” is the first single off that project. No release date for “SATIVA” yet but will be coming soon!

BUDD$ wastes no time bringing delivery on this one, within the first 10 seconds, he slides into the beat as smooth as possible. I feel like he rode the beat pretty well and the beat itself is dope as f*ck!!!! This is one of the first tracks I’ve heard from BUDD$ and I am not disappointed. I can definitely hear this bumped in my whip while I’m out making moves. He made it seem “Too Easy” lol.

His style on this one kinda reminds me of a cross between 21 Savage and G Herbo but he still has his own originality. He didn’t let me down the entire 3 minutes of the song! This is for sure one you want to bump! Follow him on social media @__2xm_ and be sure to check out the track below:

Growing up in  Philadelphia, PA,  the environment TNC Laid grew up in affects the music he makes today. Using his gritty Philly tone, TNC is able to capture a multitude of listeners with his releases.
