Beyoncé & Jay-Z Debut Tiffany & CO. Commercials

When it comes to working together… one celebrity couple that never shies away from the opportunity is Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Over the years, the power couple has graced us with the classics. Including the iconic “03 Bonnie & Clyde”, “Crazy In Love”, “Drunk In Love”, and On The Run Tours. Along with their chart-topping joint album, Everything is Love. Fast forward and now they’ve added another project to their collective resume, this time in the form of a Tiffany & Co. campaign.

Tiffany & Co. has always been one of the most prominent names in the jewelry industry. Now they’ve tapped Jay and Bey to launch their next campaign as the faces of the brand. Dubbed “About Love,” the new jewelry collection celebrates “the most iconic love story of all time…”. It marks the first time the two appear in a campaign together.

It appears for the first time there is a third star in the spotlight…

Besides, the Carters can’t be outshined. But a never-before-seen artwork by Jean-Michel Basquiat is spotted. In fact, it’s in the Tiffany’s iconic robin egg blue. Now controlled by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Tiffany is putting major firepower behind the yearlong campaign featuring the Carters, which includes a short film that depicts Beyoncé singing “Moon River” to her husband.

Beyonce & Jay-Z Drop Off The First Commercial

Hand-picked for the “About Love” campaign, the Carters are now the global ambassadors. According to the brand the project launched globally on September 2nd, 2021. With Beyonce and Jay-Z chosen as the “epitome of a modern love story”. Alexandre Arnault, executive vice president of product and communications at the jeweler mentions:

“Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the epitome of the modern love story. As a brand that has always stood for love, strength and self-expression, we could not think of a more iconic couple that better represents Tiffany’s values…”

– Alexandre Arnault of Tiffany & Co.

The couple’s first campaign features Bey and JAY-Z alongside the rare sighting of the painting Equals Pi by artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Constantly pushing the culture forward, Jay and Bey team up for their latest couple collab. Looking dapper in a black and white tuxedo, Hov pairs the suit with cufflinks made from Tiffany’s “Bird on a Rock” brooch. Renowned French designer Jean Schlumberger created the jewelry in 1956.

The Queen Bey Lowkey Reveals The Partnership Via Instagram

The Ivy Park founder and Lemonade performer is featured in a still from the ad. Wearing a figure-hugging black dress with long, sheer opera gloves. The jewel around her neck takes center stage as her hair is swept up gracefully back in an updo.

As seen worn by Beyoncé, the 1878 South African yellow diamond, is at the center of the ad. At any rate, this piece is priceless. To date, it is one of the world’s largest yellow diamonds, weighing in at 128.54 carats. For the first time the famous Tiffany Diamond is featured. With its 128.54 carats and 82 facets. To no surprise, breaking barriers as per usual; Beyoncé also becomes the first African American woman to ever wear the priceless gemstone, let alone for a campaign.

Previously, only three other women have had the opportunity to flaunt this exquisite piece of jewelry. In 1961 by socialite Mary Whitehouse then Audrey Hepburn in 1961 while promoting her film Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Meanwhile, the most recent celebrity to rock this Diamond was Lady Gaga at the 2019 Oscars.

Beyoncé Breaks Record

Additionally, Beyoncé unveiled the collaboration in her Harper’s Bazaar cover story. Where she wore her own IVY PARK label alongside a variety of Tiffany & Co. jewelry pieces. This new partnership comes as great news to some and a joke to others… Either way, the renowned duo has a strong presence in a variety of industries, including music, fashion, and, most recently, cannabis. Through Hova’s company Monogram. In fact, after discovering “healing properties” in CBD during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bey revealed that she’s been working on establishing a hemp and honey farm.

Lastly, featuring the Carters for the campaign serves to further renovate Tiffany’s image. However, the couple will front campaigns for the label. Alongside a list of impressive ambassadors that includes: K-pop group BLACKPINK’s Rosé, Anya Taylor Joy from The Queen’s Gambit, and multi-hyphenate Tracee Ellis Ross.

Moreover, this news is the latest entry into what’s largely been a two-decade winning streak for the two entertainers. As a result, the music industry’s powerhouse couple just continues to make power plays! Stay tuned here Hip Hop’s Revival for more!

Myke Rook drops off Akhapela Confessions

Myke Rook drops off Akhapela Confessions just in time for his birthday.

Born in Turkey, Myke Rook then spent most of his time growing up in a broken household in South Lansing, Michigan. This instilled the values Myke holds to this day. Having a love for the struggle, and those going through tough situations, Rook wants to use his music as a way for those struggling, to be heard by the world. Bombarded by negativity as a young generation, Myke Rook wants to help those snap out of this pattern. Turning the negative to positive is always easier said than done, but when you put your mind to it, Myke Rook is walking proof that it can actually be done.

Myke Rook has been creating a unique path for him and his music over the past few years. Back with another release, this one a bit more special, Rook is here with his debut EP, “Akhapela Confessions”.  After taking down his past music, this is a new chapter in Myke’s career. This EP, a six song collection, is much different than the rest of the HipHop/Rap music we see hitting the market. Reason being, all six songs are clean, meaning they do not have a single explicit word throughout. Also, Rook utilizes his Acapella sound, something we have never seen done in the HipHop/Rap scene. If this is not enough to prove Myke Rook is different, just go ahead and take a listen for yourself, none of the songs use instruments either. Each beat is made from a different set of voices throughout each track on this EP.’

Building inspiration for these six tracks, much of it came from his long trips from Seattle to LA. Looking to connect with those who are caught up in the unrealistic expectations we see on social media, Myke’s music harps on the realities of life.

Also looking to offer the truth about how beautiful this world we live in is, Rook uses his music to show his listeners his personal outlook on life. God and the spiritual world is a real way to relieve the pain and hardships life may throw at us, a common theme we see throughout Rook’s debut EP.  This collection is also a culmination of years of suffering and looking in the mirror for Myke. Having his brothers in Seattle support his vision and craft, this made it that much easier for Myke to pursue his passion full time. Not expecting a pause in Myke Rooks career any time soon, it would be a good idea to get in tune now, before it’s too late. Rooks music can be found via all major streaming platforms, especially “Akhapela Confessions” which has been receiving great feedback already.

7 – 8 years

What made you start?
having dreams of being on stage… friends & family , me realizing I had potential to actually do it and make it happen.

What are you working on?
I’m working on my 6th project titled ” The Resurrection ” i named it that because Being behind bars can bring your buzz down as a rapper, especially  being independent. It’s hard to make people believe you still have what it takes. When you’re locked away, outta sight is outta mind, everybody forgets. But now I’m back I feel like I have something to prove, I love challenges and I don’t give up so The Resurrection  is just a way of saying I’m back.

Who are your influences?
Lil Wayne is one of my first influences in music, music speaks for itself and he’s an all time favorite. 2 pac too for just keeping it real. Also 50 cent for being a great business man and killing the charts and I used to rock with T.i. heavy when he was in his prime. I remember him coming out of jail and just going hard.
