How did you get your start in music?

Getting started in music as rapper in Sacramento, CA is one of the hardest task to take on being the fact that its very competitive, so I had to cultivate my own sound, doing my best to not sound like nobody but myself, taking my problems and turning it into music with no father just a mother, understanding one thing in this music industry its going to take investing in myself and my music to make it work, not much support but hard work and a DREAM.

How long have you been making it?

I been making music Officially for about a year or 2 now but far as making tracks I been doing that for years ever since the foam in the box and the little mic and laptop in the closet.

Who are your influences?

My biggest influences in the music would have to be, Michael Jackson, Tupac, Lil Wayne, E40, Rich Homie Quan, Jay Z, Do Or Die.

What motivates you?

What motivates me the most is my lifestyle ever since I got the chance to stand up and take control over my life because I grew up with no father, big family and one mom so I watch my mom struggle drugs trying to raise us so now I need something, I have to get something so here I am getting it.

What are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on filling up my song playlist on Spotify, building more streams daily giving my audience and fans multiple different songs of me from party music to real talk music to good vibes songs gaining attention.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I want my talent to have perfected my way in life and to answer that question where I see my self in 5 years, I’m comfortable with ending up with what ever my talent brings me I trust GOD and my work so I know I’m bound to stumble upon something its just a matter of time but I’m very patient.

What is your opinion on the current hip-hop scene?

I don’t really have a opinion on the music scene today because every artist has their own work they want to show the world and that’s fair every if their not around for long I just hope they can accept me and my music when i enter the scene.

Jew-Buh Responds To Wale Saying He Cant Be On His Album

Have you ever tweeted your favorite rapper, hoping for a response? Jew-Buh has. He actually asked Wale if he could feature on his new album but Wale wasn’t feeling it. We got a chance to sit down with Jew-Buh and get more info on what exactly happened. Check it out below and be sure to listen to his official response track.

How’s everything been with you?

Been working on my Album since the last time we linked up man. Working hard to make sure it’s perfect as it can get. As an independent artist you have to do everything so that’s what I’ve been doing.

What’s going on with new music?

I just dropped F**k Luv as a lead to my album last week. The album is DONE and will be available everywhere on I-Tunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and all streaming sites August 17th. Pre-Order is available now on I-Tunes.

Earlier this year you asked Wale to be on his album and he actually responded. Did you expect that?

It was the craziest thing. Wale is one of my favorite artists. Been listening to him since Nike Boots. I got off work late night and I seen him tweet and i was like let me shoot my shot. I didn’t expect anything at all but he responded and i was shook!

Do you think he should have given you a chance?

As a fellow Nigerian brother of course. I know how it is though. Everyone has a fee. You have to pay for people’s time. He’s just someone I looked up to so i thought it was random enough for him to say yes..he curved me in the most humble way “Na. Bless up tho king.”

Did it make you lose respect for him as an artist?

I was hurt at first tbh because this wasn’t my first rodeo. Wale has responded to me on twitter on 3 separate occasions. He’s real engaging on twitter which I respect. I was in class and my phone was blowing up and my friend tagged me underneath Baller Alert’s IG post. This was the first time I truly got support from people that know me saying “You next”. It was a bittersweet moment cause people started realizing I actually make music when i been promoting myself for almost a year.

At the end of the day it was a blessing in disguise though because I got a bunch of support from randoms and gained some fans from it. 35,000 people were creeping my IG man it was crazy!

Do you think you could have killed him on his own song?

Wale is Rap’s finest. He is the best lyricist in the game. He gets overlooked because his bars go over to many heads. It takes years for listeners to understand. A rap genius if you will. If we ever did a song though I’d try to match his poetic genius. I have a response to him though called “Bless Up King” Coming Out Tuesday. He will appreciate the wordplay 😁

What’s next for you?

I’m working on my next couple projects. Haven’t decided what’s next but for sure I’m still trying to build my fan base. I’m in school still so I guess you can call me a Part-Time Rapper.

Anything else you would like to say?

My Debut album Rich in $pirit is dropping August 17th! I’m the next BIG THING. Coming straight out of Houston, TX. Much LOVE 🏃🏿‍♂️💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨

Get to know: WAELL

Today we bring you a new Canadian artist by the name of Waell. He is a artist with passion. We got the chance to sit down with him and get to know more about the man behind the artist. Check it out below

Explain who you are for those who may not know

My name is Waell. I am an audio engineer, rapper, and songwriter. I am also of Lebanese descent.

Where you from?

Milton, Ontario. It’s about 30 minutes away from Toronto.

How did you get your start in music?

I started writing the summer going into my senior year of high school. I was having a lot of issues and I couldn’t seem to find a way to find anything to take my mind off of them or to turn my negatives in life into a positive. I ended up progressing and began to have confidence in myself to get behind a microphone and became ambitious from that point on.

How long have you been making it?

For 3 years.

Who are your influences?

My influences are Drake (of course, that’s the 6 god), Partynextdoor, Travis Scott, Belly, Giggs, 21 savage and Amr Diab (an Egyptian Arabic singer)

What motivates you?

Making great music and topping my last song, or my last project every time a new one releases, as well as to see my family back in Lebanon living well and to see lebanon as a country prosper.

What are you currently working on?

Right now, I’m just working on a few singles for the next year, and I’m currently writing my first commercial album, at the moment it is called “Opia”. I’m not sure when I will release it. I’m also working on diversifying myself, making myself more than just a rapper and working into other genre’s such as EDM, House music, Dancehall, R&B and Arabic songs.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself having graduated university, working on music full-time, having the same ambition to succeed as I started. I don’t want to jump the gun and say ridiculous things like having a million dollar check and a wraith. I know I’m great and so is my music. I will just put my future plans in god’s hands. Whatever happens, happens for a reason.

What is your opinion on the current hiphop scene?

I think it’s more diverse. There’s been a lot of takes on producers making the same beats, as well as the hatred towards mumble rap. But I feel that there are producers that do have a different sound, you just have to look for them, they’re not hard to find. I feel like mumble rap helps diversify the hip hop scene, because it allows the genre to expand as a whole, as well as test us as artists creatively to sound different.

Anything else you would like to say?

I also do write poetry on an app called “medium” you can follow me there as well. My last thought is be a good person, and be yourself unapologetically.
